We had a Mer-mazing time celebrating Earth Day with the K-2 students at Renaissance Charter School. My mermaid heart is filled with gratitude for the privilege of sharing my book and teaching kids about environmental awareness, water pollution, and conservation. We discussed the importance of using the three R’s (Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle) everyday, not just on Earth Day.
The children were super excited to become Ocean Guardians and protect sea creatures like Timmy the Turtle from water pollution. They pledged to keep our blue planet beautiful for all living things.
